Closing the Financing Gaps in Europe’s Defence
Europe faces a fundamental challenge: turning rising defence spending into military capability, industrial capacity and technological advantage. Achieving this will require more than public budgets alone. Europe needs new financing models, stronger private investment and faster integration of AI, software and defence technologies.
Defence Finance 2027 brings together capital, capability and code – policymakers and investors, defence industry leaders and technology innovators – to explore how Europe can finance, build and deploy the capabilities required for credible deterrence and greater strategic autonomy.
The conference focuses on moving from ambition to execution: closing financing gaps, scaling production, accelerating innovation and developing a viable European financing architecture for security and defence.

Speakers
“Defence finance has moved from a niche policy topic to a defining challenge of our decade. With EU defence spending reaching €418 billion in 2025 – a 20% jump in just one year – the real question is no longer whether Europe will invest, but how intelligently and resiliently it channels that capital. This is where defence finance intersects directly with cybersecurity: as budgets scale, protecting the financial infrastructure, payment systems, and digital supply chains that fund and enable European defence becomes just as critical as the hardware itself. This is exactly the intersection that we explore at Defence Finance 2027.”
“As one of the world’s leading business schools, Frankfurt School is the perfect meeting place for international executives looking to expand their knowledge and network in management & finance.”
